Small Businesses Need a Blog and Here’s Why

When I tell someone I am a writer, it comes with a myriad of questions.

“What do you write?” And, “you get paid for that?”

Yes, I do!

I am an author and  a content marketer to put it best: marketing content, non-fiction eBooks, web content, web design, professional blogging, newsletters, you name it, I write and create it.

But wait, you heard blogging is dead? Not true! Blogging engages your customers, your clients, and your audience.

  • Regular blogging puts you at the forefront of your intended audiences mind.
  • It’s a great opportunity to showcase your talents and ability.
  • Blogs entertain or educate prospective customers and clients by meeting a need even if they don’t realize it.

Business Owners Do “All the things”

As a small business owner, your plate is full. You are “all the things” not only creating the service or product but selling it, handling the business side of things, and marketing your business. Writing and blogging often aren’t a priority.

For many business owners focusing on a blog, even an hour a week, takes up valuable time they’d use elsewhere. As a professional writer, I whip up blog posts you’d be proud to share with your audience. Unique content brings in readership and potential customers. I take the time to learn about you, your business, and your customers needs before crafting your blog.

For example: An HVAC business owner isn’t seeing strong social media engagement or website traffic. They do not blog or share enough information to create that engagement and funnel potential customers to their website. Blog posts such as regular furnace maintenance, how to change filters, and the best equipment to install, helps home owners or commercial building owners understand their systems. With a weekly post, the company reaches customers regularly. When something goes wrong and they need help, who will they call?

A blog positions you as an expert in your field, and with me on your team, you keep full control of that content. Tell me what you want to share, what you want to write. Give me your ideas or ask me for mine. There’s an endless database of ideas running through my head.

Are you a small business without dedicated marketing professionals?  There’s never enough time to write and share content. That is why you need me.

Blogging is not dead. In fact, it’s in high demand. Everyone reads blogs. If you’re not blogging you are missing out on a big opportunity in the social media marketplace.

  1. When I originally commented I clicked the “Notify me when new comments are added”
checkbox and now each time a comment is added I get
three emails with the same comment. Is there any way you can remove me
    from that service? Thank you!
